Demir Aytaç, born in 1957, completed his undergraduate studies at the Illinois University, Faculty of Business Administration, before going on to study a postgraduate degree at the same University in the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Between the years 1995 and 1999 he worked as Assistant General Manager in KAV Danismanlik Pazarlama Tic. A.S. and then General Manager in KAV Ambalaj. From 1999 to 2003 he worked firstly as Assistant General Manager and then General Manager in Düzey, a marketing company and an affiliate of Koç Holding.
In 2004 Migros appointed Aytaç Assistant General Manager responsible for Sales. In August 2008 he took on his current position as Chief Human Resource Officer responsible for Human Resources, Training and Industrial Relations in Migros.
