Emerging talent—defined as those with less than five years of full-time work experience—is a challenging group to develop, but this webcast offers recommendations and best practices for doing so. Drawing on data from ATD’s new research report, Emerging Talent: Developing Early-Career Employees, the webcast will focus on the skills emerging talent are most lacking, the training actually offered to emerging talent, and methods used to assess the needs of this group. We’ll also examine the delivery methods most commonly used, as well as the career development opportunities available and the frequency of career discussions. Finally, the webcast will present recommendations for overcoming challenges and best practices for effectively developing emerging talent.

Research Analyst, ATD

Megan Cole is a research analyst at the Association for Talent Development (ATD). Her primary responsibilities include creating and programming surveys, cleaning and analyzing data, and writing research reports for publication. Prior to working at ATD, she worked as a market research analyst for a marketing company that specialized in association marketing. Megan received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Central Florida. She earned a doctorate in communication from Arizona State University.

Owner, Allen-Solorio Consultancy

Devorah is an independent consultant in California and Arizona, specializing in Management, Leadership, Quality, HR, OD, and L&D. She is a CPLP through ATD and has an MBA from Cal State Long Beach. She also is a Six Sigma Green Belt and Change Management Professional.
