This interactive event will teach training professionals: (1) how the four leadership pillars drive self-awareness and (2) how to incorporate instructional design strategies that drive proficiency within the pillars. The presenter authored this model, the supporting research, and the ASTD book The Self-Aware Leader. As a manager of the Comcast high-potential leadership program, he has taught hundreds of high potential leaders with a curriculum rooted in this model.

Dan Gallagher has over 15 years of experience in leadership and organizational development roles with organizations such as Comcast, Commerce Bank, Hay Group, Cahners Publishing, and Saint Joseph’s University. Since 2000, Dan has worked at Comcast and is now the Vice President of Learning and Development. In this role he is responsible for the training strategy for all Comcast business units.

Dan is a 2008 LEADERSHIP Philadelphia Fellow and now serves on their board. He was also a Regional Finalist for the 2009-2010 White House Fellowship program. Dan serves on a National Advisory Board for City Year’s Human Potential strategy.

In 2006, Dan co-founded Generous Generations, a non-profit that promotes generosity in families. In 2010 he founded Gallagher Leadership and in 2012 he published The Self-Aware Leader with ASTD of which all proceeds will go to City Year.
