It’s difficult to predict what the workplace will look like in 5 years – but are talent development professionals (and their employers) ready to make changes and adapt to the future of work? In this study we’ll explore future readiness and how TD professionals are keeping their skills relevant and up to date; important skills for the future of talent development; and predictions about how technologies will evolve and impact trainers and the learning they provide.

Key findings from the report:

  • 32% of organizations have planned for a future TD skills gap.
  • 85% of organizations that have had a formal discussion about future TD skills gaps did so within the last year.
  • 94% of TD professionals who use stretch assignments find them to be effective.
  • 69% of TD professionals think they will need to have a higher level of competency in AI in five years than they do today.
