ATD Research will be discussing the data and findings of their latest research study on knowledge management.

This webinar will focus on how organizations use different methods and tools to practice knowledge management, how they plan for and mitigate knowledge loss when employees leave, and their knowledge sharing culture with five generations in the workforce.

Key findings from this study include:

  • 47% of organizations include the knowledge management function within HR
  • 54% of organizations use an intranet for knowledge management
  • 43% of organizations say planning for knowledge loss is a high priority
  • 74% of organizations agree or strongly agree that knowledge is effectively transferred across generations.

Tessa is a researcher at ATD. Her research interests include organizational behavior, the future of work, wellbeing, and the impact of digital technology on human behavior. Before joining ATD, Tessa managed business development efforts for IBM. 


Rocki Basel
Rocki Basel

Director, Research, ATD

Rocki Basel, Ph.D. joined the Association for Talent Development (ATD) in 2022 and is the director of research. Before joining ATD, she was a researcher for other national membership organizations. Her research interests include workplace culture, employee engagement, mental health, and organizational communication. She has a Ph.D. in communication studies from Kent State University.
